Constantin Kilian
Constantin Kilian (born October 13, 1953 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a German author and director .
Life
Kilian grew up in Garmisch as the youngest of four children of the hotelier Hanns Kilian . After graduating from a humanistic grammar school , he studied theater studies and German literature in Munich . After three years he dropped out of the course. He was a guest auditor at the Munich Film School . He made Super 8 films and a 16 mm film “Spieltrieb” in 1979. Kilian worked as a taxi driver , night porter, editor and bookseller .
In 1988 he published his first novel "Ten Thousand on Red" with Rowohlt Verlag . In 1990 he took part in a funding program for authors at ZDF . He wrote scripts for ZDF, including the last film with Gustl Bayrhammer . From 1999 to 2008 he was a dramaturge and as such supervised a. a. from 2006 to 2008 about 600 episodes of the series Sturm der Liebe . He also worked as a script editor and author for various television series such as “ Behind Gates ” ( RTL ) and “Mallorca” ( PRO7 ). In 2010 he founded the film company Videofox.
From 1991 to 2017 Kilian staged seventeen plays in Munich, Würzburg and Gemünden.
In 1999 his second novel “Love says the heart - fear says the belly”, which he wrote together with Katja Reider .
