The Corn Suvretta ( Rhaeto-Romanic corn for 'horn, top' and Suvretta , probably meaning 'Obersäss', derived from the Latin super for 'over' and supplemented with -itta ) is a mountain northwest of the Julier Pass in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland with a height of 3071 m above sea level. M.
Location and surroundings
The Corn Suvretta belongs to the Güglia Group , a subgroup of the Albula Alps . The municipal boundaries of Bever , St. Moritz and Silvaplana meet on the summit pyramid . The 3071 m high summit is located southwest of Piz Suvretta ( 3143 m ) and Fuorcla Suvretta ( 2613 m ). To the east lie the Suvretta Pass ( 2613 m ) and the Lej Suvretta ( 2578 m ), in a south-easterly direction on the way to St. Moritz you pass Alp Suvretta ( 2211 m ).
The neighboring peaks of the Corn Suvretta include the Piz Suvretta, the Piz Surgonda ( 3195 m ), the Piz Bever ( 3229 m ), the Piz Nair ( 3055 m ), the Piz Güglia ( 3380 m ) and the Piz Valletta ( 2917 m ) . Valley locations are Champfèr ( 1825 m ) and St. Moritz ( 1822 m ). A frequent starting point is Alp Güglia ( 2198 m ).
The farthest visible point is the Matterhorn ( 4478 m ) in the Valais Alps and is 171 km from the Corn Suvretta.

Over the west ridge
- Starting point: La Veduta ( 2237 m ) or Alp Güglia ( 2198 m ) on the Julier Pass road.
- Via: Val d'Agnel or Valetta dal Güglia to Fuorcla Margun ( 2945 m )

- Time required: 3 hours via Val d'Agnel, 2½ hours via Valetta dal Güglia
Over the northeast ridge
- Starting point: From the Chamanna Jenatsch ( 2653 m ) or Suvretta ( 1993 m )
- Via: Fuorcla Suvretta ( 2966 m )
- Difficulty: EB until Fuorcla Suvretta as trail white-red-white highlighted
- Time required: 2½ hours from Chamanna Jenatsch, 3½ hours from Suvretta
Over the southeast ridge
- Starting point: Alp Güglia ( 2198 m ) on the Julierpass-Strasse or Suvretta ( 1993 m )
- Via: Fuorcla Chamuotsch ( 2922 m )
- Difficulty: EB
- Time required: 2 hours from Alp Güglia, 2½ hours from Suvretta

- Comment: After P. 2543 further northeast on a marked ramp to P. 2842. Over the steep south-west slope and over the south-east ridge to the summit. A solid snow cover is necessary in the steep summit area.
