Cours-la-Ville (also: Cours-La Ville ) is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Cours with 3,674 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .
With effect from January 1, 2016, the former municipalities of Cours-la-Ville , Pont-Trambouze and Thel were merged to form Commune nouvelle Cours. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Cours-la-Ville belonged to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône and the canton of Thizy-les-Bourgs .

Cours-la-Ville is located about 65 kilometers northwest of Lyon on the Trambouze River . Cours-la-Ville is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Belmont-de-la-Loire in the north, Thel in the east, Saint-Vincent-de-Reins in the southeast, Mardore in the south, Pont-Trambouze in the southwest, Sevelinges in the west and La Cergne and Écoche in the northwest.
