Thel is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Cours with 344 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .
On January 1, 2016, Thel , Cours-la-Ville and Pont-Trambouze were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Cours. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Thel belonged to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône and the canton of Thizy-les-Bourgs (until 2015: canton of Lamure-sur-Azergues ).
