Cristian Ramon Fiél Casanova (born March 12, 1980 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a former German - Spanish soccer player and today's coach . Most recently he was head coach of Dynamo Dresden .
Career
As a player
Fiél played from 1999 to 2001 for the then second division side Stuttgarter Kickers , for which he completed 27 competitive games and scored two goals. After the Kickers relegated to the regional league , Fiél moved to the second division promoted 1. FC Union Berlin in the summer of 2001 , where he acted as the control center between defense and attack. For Berlin, he played 48 second division games and scored eight goals. He also played four games in the UEFA Cup and in the DFB Cup he lost 2-1 with Union in the round of 16 against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . In the winter break of the 2002/03 season Fiél moved to Bundesliga club VfL Bochum , where he could not prevail and only completed six games.
Since coach Peter Neururer no longer planned with him, Fiél left Bochum and switched to the second division Alemannia Aachen in early 2004 . With the Aacheners he reached the final of the DFB Cup in 2004 , then played in the 2004/05 season in the UEFA Cup and in 2006 was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga. Fiél, who had only signed a first division contract at the last contract negotiation, extended his contract with the Alemanni on June 12, 2007 until 2010. In April 2010 he was informed by the club that he would not receive a new contract and would therefore end the 2009/10 season had to look for a new club.
On August 11, 2010 Fiél signed a one-year contract with third division club Dynamo Dresden . With Dynamo he rose to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the 2010/11 season after they had prevailed in the relegation against VfL Osnabrück . Fiél had already extended his contract, which expired at the end of the season, for another two years. In the 2011/12 season Fiél was the team captain of Dynamo Dresden before he made the captaincy available for personal reasons in the summer of 2012. In April 2013 he extended his contract for two more years until June 30, 2015. On the last day of the 2013/14 season, Dynamo lost 3-2 to Bielefeld , so Fiél was relegated to the third division with Dynamo. The 2014/15 season was his last season as an active player, in which he was again team captain of Dynamo Dresden. In the last game of the season against Hansa Rostock , he was bid farewell together with Benjamin Kirsten .
As a trainer
After his active career, he stayed in Dresden as a youth coach. On August 23, 2018 he took over the first team of SG Dynamo on an interim basis as the successor to Uwe Neuhaus , until Maik Walpurgis became the new head coach on September 11, 2018. After his leave of absence, Fiel became Dynamo Dresden's head coach on February 28, 2019 and received a contract valid until June 2021. As thirteenth in the table, Dynamo held the class at the end of the season. After Dresden had been on a direct relegation zone for five matchdays in the following season , Fiél was dismissed after 15 completed games.
