Dana V. Ashbrook (born May 24, 1967 in San Diego , California ) is an American actor best known for his role as Bobby Briggs in the television series Twin Peaks .

Life

Ashbrook grew up in San Diego, where he graduated from high school in 1985. His father was the chairman of the Palomar College Department of Performing Arts and his mother a teacher. He has a brother and sister, Daphne Ashbrook , who is also an actress.

He became famous in 1990 through the role of the rebellious teenager Bobby Briggs in the television series Twin Peaks and the film prequel Twin Peaks - The Movie (1992). In the following years, however, he was unable to build on this success and was mostly seen in B-movies and guest series, including recurring roles in the television series Dawson's Creek (2002-2003) and LA Crash (2009).
