Dancing on Ice
Dancing on Ice is a television show that features famous people figure skating . The format was developed by Granada Productions (today: ITV Studios) for the British television station ITV and aired in February 2006. The German edition with the same title was first broadcast in October 2006.
concept
In the show, several well-known personalities (8 to 12 participants) each with a dance partner, professional or successful figure skaters, compete against each other in ice dances.
In each episode, the celebrities and their partners perform a live ice dance. The jurors assess each performance and give points depending on the performance. Spectator votes are also included. Jury and audience ratings are added together, the couple with the fewest points in the respective episode is eliminated.
International versions
Currently, the show is only produced and broadcast in the UK and Germany.
