Daniel Theorin (born August 4, 1983 in Härnösand , Sweden ) is a Swedish football player . The defensive player has played his career so far in Sweden and Norway .
Career
Career start in the lower class area
Theorin began playing football at the amateur club IF Älgarna , for which he also made his debut in the men's team. His talent was discovered by GIF Sundsvall and the club brought him to their youth department in 1999. In 2001 he was loaned to third division Selånger FK to collect match practice. After a year, the defensive player returned to GIF Sundsvall, but was only used in the reserve. Therefore he went back to the third division and moved to IFK Timrå . At the club appearing in Division 2 Norrland , he became team captain and reached eighth place in the table with him.
After just one season, Friska Viljor signed FC Theorin. The team was promoted to the second division as a season winner and, not least, with his performance in direct duels, Theorin had convinced the club's officials. In his first year in Swedish professional football, Theorin was used in more than two-thirds of the season's games. Nevertheless, he could not prevent the direct relegation of the new league, so he left the club at the end of the season.
Norway and return to Sweden
Theorin moved to Norway to Lyn Oslo . At the club supervised by his compatriot Magnus Johansson , he temporarily established himself in the regular formation, so that in his first season there were 17 league appearances to book. He scored his first goal in the Tippeligaen in the 1-0 win over Lillestrøm SK in July 2005 and thus contributed to reaching third place in the table and thus qualifying for the Royal League . At the side of Steven Lustü , Henrik Dahl , Tommy Berntsen and Lars Kristian Eriksen , he was also in the starting XI in his second year in Norway in a total of 15 games.
In 2007 Theorin returned to Sweden and signed a three-year contract with Malmö FF . On April 7, 2007 he made his debut in the Allsvenskan when he was substituted on for Jimmy Dixon in the game against IF Elfsborg . However, coach Sören Åkeby did not bet on him, so this was his only use for MFF in the further course of the season. In the summer he was awarded to the second division Landskrona BoIS to collect match practice. For the 2008 season came to Theorin MFF back, but came under new coach Roland Nilsson not used until the summer in the Allsvenskan.
In the summer of 2008 Theorin changed clubs again. The new employer was the league competitor Gefle IF , with whom he signed a contract with a term of two and a half years. At the side of Andreas Dahlén , Jonatan Berg , Yannick Bapupa and Jonas Lantto , he established himself on the defensive of the club from Gästrikland , which was able to hold onto the Allsvenskan for the first time. After the team had only secured relegation at the end of the 2010 season in relegation, he contributed with four goals in the following season to an early relegation and the achievement of ninth place in the table. Nevertheless, he left the club shortly after the end of the season and hired the second division club Hammarby IF . In Stockholm he signed a three-year contract. As fourth or fifth in the table, he and the team just missed the club's return to the Allsvenskan.
