Henrik Edner Dahl (born May 1, 1975 ) is a former Swedish football player . The defender has played his career so far in his home country, Denmark and Norway.

Career

Dahl comes from the youth of Grimeton IK and the Varbergs BoIS . In 1995 he moved to BK Häcken , who was in the second highest division at the time. At the end of the 1997 season he qualified with the team as runner-up in the southern season behind local rivals Västra Frölunda IF for the relegation games to Allsvenskan , in which they prevailed against Västerås SK and rose. In the first division season in 1998 he was on the side of Jonas Henriksson , Johan Lind and Ola Karlsson for use, but he could not prevent the direct relegation of the Gothenburg club. However, the stay in the second division lasted only one season and as a promoted BK Häcken this time held the class until 2001. As a regular player, he remained loyal to the club after relegation to the Superettan in the 2002 second division season . After the relegation place was missed due to the worse goal difference at the end of the season, he left the club after 287 appearances in eight years.

Dahls's new employer was the Danish club Silkeborg IF in the Superliga . Under coach Viggo Jensen he was a regular player right away and played 14 games of the season alongside Kenneth Fabricius , Thomas Poulsen and Iddi Alkhag until the end of the season. For the third time in his career, however, he suffered relegation from the first division at the end of the 2002/03 season. After he started a half series in the second division, he moved to Norway for SFK Lyn Oslo in the Tippeligaen . Again and again slowed down by injuries, he was unable to establish himself as a regular there. With the team around Daniel Theorin , Tommy Berntsen , Steven Lustü , Jan Derek Sørensen and Kristian Flittie Onstad , he reached the European Cup in the 2005 season as third in the table with the club . However, he was not allowed to work there because he injured his cruciate ligament in May 2006 and was unable to work for a long time.

After his contract with Lyn Oslo expired at the end of 2006, Dahl returned to Sweden and signed a two-year contract with the Gothenburg club GAIS . Here, too, his susceptibility to injury continued, so that he could not establish himself. After he had only been active in the reserve team, the club loaned him to his former club Varbergs BoIS in the summer of 2008.

After his contract expired, initially without a club, Dahl moved again to Norway in March 2009 and joined the third division club Bærum SK . After having been a full-time sales manager at the Hard Rock Cafe in Gothenburg since 2008 , he took on this position at the Hard Rock Café in Oslo. In 2010 he ended his active career. In August 2011 he moved to Radio Metro as Key Account Manager , and in January 2012 he moved up to the coaching staff at Bærum SK.
