Johan Lind (born February 8, 1974 in Lima ) is a former Swedish football player . The defender ran during his professional career only for the Gothenburg club BK Hacken on, for the " Hisingens denied King" in 16 years a total of 541 matches.

Career

Lind played from 1980 in his youth at Lundby IF , where he succeeded at the side of the later national player Teddy Lučić . Together they won several important youth tournaments, including the Gothia Cup , and came third in the Swedish junior championship. He later moved up to the men's team, which at the time was fighting in the third division for promotion to the second division. He drew higher class attention and moved to the second division BK Häcken in Gothenburg in early 1995 . There he quickly established himself as a regular in the team around Joakim Söndergaard , Jonas Henriksson and Henrik Dahl , who rose to the Allsvenskan at the end of the 1997 season . In the first division season in 1998 , the team supervised by Kjell Pettersson was immediately in a relegation battle and was already determined to be relegated ahead of time, even a 2-1 win on the last day of the game against the leaders of the table and subsequent runner-up Helsingborgs IF no longer helped to jump to a relegation place .

The stay in the second division only lasted one season for Lind's team. As a season winner in the south, he returned directly to the Swedish House of Lords with the club, where later national players such as Kim Källström or Tobias Hysén were in the squad. Again the newcomer was in the relegation battle, this time he reached the relegation round. Against Mjällby AIF , the tableau was balanced after a 3-2 win and a 2-3 defeat, so that only the penalty shoot-out brought the decision in favor of Lind's team. Despite this success, he received a new trainer for the following season with Torbjörn Nilsson . The team, besides Källström - the club's best internal scorer with eight goals at the end of the season - and Hysén with a number of other young talents such as Dulee Johnson , Daniel Forsell , Christoffer Källqvist and Jimmy Dixon , was expected to have a lot in the 2001 season . With Lind as head of defense, who was in the starting line-up in 24 of the 26 games of the season, the team missed relegation after only one away win, however, as penultimate in the table.

After relegation again, Jörgen Lennartsson took over as coach at BK Häcken. While Lind had to step down due to an injury, the team that was newly composed after a personnel change and strengthened with Jonas Axeldal , Tuomas Uusimäki and Keijo Huusko , missed the direct return to fourth in the table. From the second division season in 2003 , Lind was again a regular. As third in the table, he initially missed promotion with the club in the relegation against GIF Sundsvall , the following year he led the club with two goals in 26 season games in the second division championship before Gefle IF and Assyriska Föreningen . Despite the success, Lennartsson left BK Häcken in the direction of Svenska Fotbollförbundet and was replaced by Stefan Lundin . Again Lind was slowed down as a result of injuries, but was one of Lundin's regular players. At the end of the 2006 season, however, there was again a relegation to book when both relegation games against IF Brommapojkarna were lost. Despite the relegation, the club had qualified for the European Cup. As the winner of the UEFA fair play rating , Lind took part in the 2007/08 UEFA Cup with the team and reached the first main round after successes over KR Reykjavík and Dunfermline Athletic in qualification, in which, however, the Russian representative Spartak Moscow as too high a hurdle - Lind was on the field in all six international games.

In the second division season of 2008 , Lind was again an undisputed regular player. With 28 league games, he led the elevator team again in the first class. There the veteran ran for two seasons before he ended his professional career at the end of 2010 after a total of 151 games in the Allsvenskan. He then moved to the sixth division Landvetter IS , where he works both as a player and as part of the coaching staff.

Lind completed an IT training at the Göteborgs Tekniska Institute .
