Daniel Werner (actor)
Daniel Werner (born July 29, 1957 in Wiesbaden ) is a German actor , radio play , dubbing and voiceover speaker .
Life
Daniel Werner is a son of the actress Elisabeth Scherer . As a child he performed at the Ulm Theater .
He first studied theater studies for a few semesters in Munich and then completed an apprenticeship at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum from 1979 to 1983 . This was followed by engagements at the Schauspielhaus Bochum , the Baden-Baden Theater , the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and the city theaters of Krefeld and Mönchengladbach . He played the Orin in the stage version of God's Forgotten Children , Eilif in Mother Courage and Seymour in The Little Shop of Horror .
Werner also wrote several plays, such as Heldentod (world premiere: March 5, 1993), the revue Ich sprenge alle Ketten (world premiere: September 8, 1995) and the drama Mother Cross , a play about a mother-son conflict against the background of old and new Nazi ideas with his mother Elisabeth Scherer in the lead role (premiere: May 8, 1996). As a playwright and theater director, Werner occasionally uses the pseudonym Engelbert Brunn .
As an actor he could be seen in, among other things, a lot of life ( ZDF ), in the RTL Soap Unter uns and as Axel in Lindenstrasse ( ARD ).
He works as a speaker for WDR radio and several radio plays have been published with his participation. As a voice actor he spoke among others Robert De Niro in the film Greetings by Brian De Palma . He also speaks the voiceover of the cooking programs The Perfect Dinner and The Perfect Celebrity Dinner for the TV station VOX .
