Daniele Neuhaus Turnes (born March 21, 1998 in Santo Amaro da Imperatriz , Santa Catarina ) is a Brazilian soccer player who has been under contract with the Portuguese second division club Benfica Lisbon since 2018 .

Career

Neuhaus began her sporting career as a volleyball player in a talent development association in Florianópolis , but then switched to football. At fifteen, she appeared from 2013 as the goalkeeper of Acadêmica Vitória in the Brazilian championship. In 2015 she switched to the newly formed women's team at Santos FC , where she initially only made occasional missions as a reservist. She played her first competitive game for the club on May 17, 2015 in the Paulista State Championship against the AD Centro Olímpico . Her breakthrough as a regular goalkeeper came in 2017 when she won the Brazilian championship with Santos.

In January 2018, Neuhaus was contractually signed by the Portuguese capital club Benfica Lisbon for the 2018/19 season, as the first player ever for its football section for women, which is currently being set up. She made her debut for the new club on October 21, 2018 in a 28-0 win in the second division against União FC in Almeirim .

National team

Between 2008 and 2010 Neuhaus took part in two U17 World Championships ( 2008 in New Zealand , 2010 in Trinidad & Tobago ) and one U17 South American Championship ( 2010 in Brazil ). For the U20 youth squad, she guarded the goal at the U20 South American Championship in Brazil and the U20 World Championship in Japan in 2012 .

In July 2017 Neuhaus was Emily Lima in the A-squad of the national team for the Four Nations Tournament in the United States called, where on August 3 in it StubHub Center of Carson in the last match in the 1: 6 defeat to Australia came to her first international appearance as a replacement for the injured Bárbara .
