Danijel Plahutar (born August 4, 1981 in Zagreb , Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the KHL Mladost Zagreb since 2009 and has played with the club in the International Hockey League since 2017 .

Career

Danijel Plahutar began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown at KHL Zagreb , for which he played mainly in the Croatian league . In the 2005/06 season he also appeared with his club in the Slovenian league . In 2009 he moved to KHL Mladost Zagreb , for which he was on the ice in the Slohokej League in 2009/10 , and where he played in the Croatian league for a long time with the exception of the 2011/12 season when he was paused. Since 2017 he has competed with the team in the International Hockey League .

International

For Croatia , Plahutar took part in the junior division in the U18-C European Championship 1998 and the European Division I of the U18 World Championship in 1999 as well as the U20-D World Championship in 2000 and the U20 World Championship in Division II in 2001 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the C-World Championship in 2000 and, after switching to the current division system, at the World Championships in Division I in 2001 , 2002 , 2003 and 2006 and at the World Championships in Division II in 2004 , 2005 , 2007 and 2011 . He also played for Croatia in qualifying for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin .
