Davey [ ˈdeɪvi ] is an English personal name.

It is a short or nickname of the given name David and preserves a Frenchizing writing convention from Middle English . Other forms are Davy and - especially in Scotland - Davie . Like many other first names, it has also been used as a family name; the oldest document dates back to 1198.
