David Clennon

David Clennon (born May 10, 1943 in Waukegan , Illinois ) is an American actor .

Life

Clennon attended the University of Notre Dame in the mid-1960s , where he took part in theatrical productions of King Lear , The Caretaker, and the Threepenny Opera . He later moved to New York City , where he appeared in off-Broadway productions, among other things .

He made his film debut in 1973 with a supporting role in James Bridges ' drama The Paper Chase with Timothy Bottoms , Lindsay Wagner and John Houseman . In the following years he made a name for himself as a character actor in cinema and television films.

For a guest appearance on the television series Dream On , he was awarded an Emmy Award in 1990. His portrayal of the geologist Dr. Lee Silver in the miniseries From the Earth to the Moon earned him a 1998 Golden Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Clennon lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children .
