David Hoflin
David Hoflin (born February 25, 1979 in Stockholm ) is an Australian actor of Swedish origin.
Life
Hoflin was born in Sweden, the youngest of two children. His older sister is called Emma. The family immigrated to Australia when Hoflin was four. At the age of 9 he got his first film role in the film A Scream in the Dark at the side of Meryl Streep and Sam Neill . Other small roles followed. Hoflin gained greater fame through his role in the youth series Ocean Girl , in which he played the character of Jason Bates in over four seasons from 1994 to 1997 .
In 1997 Hoflin graduated from high school and then began to study history , archeology and film studies. However, he broke off his studies due to a move and in favor of his acting career. From 2007 to 2008 he was in the Australian soap opera Neighbors in the role of Oliver Barnes . In 2011 he had a two-week guest appearance. In 2012/2013 he played a recurring character on the television series Alcatraz and was also featured in episodes of Navy CIS , Criminal Minds and Touch .
In the Amazon video series Z: The Beginning of Everything , he took on the lead role of F. Scott Fitzgerald .
Hoflin has been married to his colleague from neighbors , Natalie Blair , since January 2013 . The couple live in Los Angeles .
