Deanne Cynthia Rose (* 3. March 1999 in Alliston ( Ontario )) is a Canadian soccer player who in the midfield plays. In December 2015, she played for the Canadian women's national soccer team for the first time . She has been playing for the Florida Gators since August 2017 .
Career
Deanne Rose is the daughter of Jamaican parents. At the age of four she started playing football at Alliston Soccer League, at 15 she was accepted into the Canadian youth program and took part in training camps for U-15 and U-17 women, but played for a junior team internationally for the first time in 2016.
In December 2015, she was nominated for the senior national team and took part in the four-nation tournament in Brazil , in which the Canadians came second. On December 9th, when she was 16, she came on as a substitute for her first international match against Mexico in the 66th minute. In the second game in the 4-0 win against Trinidad & Tobago , she prepared the 1-0 in the 10th minute, but was substituted in the 64th minute. In the two games that were lost 1: 2 and 1: 3 against Brazil , it was only used in the second game shortly after the 1: 2.
She was also part of the squad for the qualifying tournament for the 2016 Summer Olympics . She played in two group matches and scored the first and third goals in the 5-0 win over Guyana - and thus her first two international goals - and prepared the fourth goal. In a 3-1 semi-final against Costa Rica , she scored the goal to make it 3-1. The Canadians had thus qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . But they lost the final against the USA 2-0, but they were not replaced. At the beginning of March she then took part in the 2016 Algarve Cup , which the Canadians won. She was in the starting line-up in two group matches, but was substituted after 68 and 78 minutes, respectively. In the final, won 2-1 against Brazil , she was substituted on in the 70th minute when the score was 2-0. She was also in the starting line-up in the following friendly matches against the Netherlands and Brazil in April and June , but never played the full distance.
On June 25th she was nominated for the roster for the Olympic Games. It was used in five games. In the game for third place, she scored the first goal against hosts Brazil and is now the youngest Olympic goalscorer at 17 years and 169 days. Shortly after the Olympic Games, she took part in the U-17 World Cup in Jordan with the U-17 team . There she was used in the three group games and scored the first goal in the 1-1 draw against Germany . The Canadians were eliminated as third party. Just a month later, she took part in the U-20 World Cup in Papua New Guinea with the U-20 team . Here, too, she was used in the three group games, but they were all lost, so that the Canadians were eliminated as the last group. In March 2017, four appearances at the Algarve Cup 2017 followed , in which the Canadians lost the title in the final to Spain . She was also used in the two friendlies against the Olympic finalists Sweden and Germany in April, where she managed to equalize in the 1: 2 against Germany.
At the CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup 2018 , in which the Canadians qualified for the 2019 World Cup, she had two short appearances totaling 49 minutes and made it 4-0 in the 12-0 win against Cuba . On May 25, 2019, she was nominated for the 2019 World Cup . But she was only substituted in for the last 15 minutes in the first group game against Cameroon . Your team was eliminated in the round of 16 against the later third Sweden .
