Decheldorf is a district of the Mühlhausen market in the district of Erlangen-Höchstadt in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is immediately surrounded by arable land and grassland. This is followed by the forest areas Pechofen and Steingrube in the north, and in the south there is another forest area that borders directly on the town. A nameless stream rises near the village and flows into the Albach as a left tributary one kilometer to the southwest .

history

The Weichselberg rises about a kilometer southeast of Decheldorf . There is a castle stable from the first half of the 12th century. The castle was mentioned in the Würzburg fief book of 1358: "Eberhard de Solzenrode recipit aream castrensem in Wiknantsberg" (Eberhard von Solzenrode received the area of the castle on the Wiknantsberg).

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 23 properties in Decheldorf (1 farm, 14 estates, 7 small houses, 1 sheep farm). The high court exercised partly the Bamberg Centamt Wachenroth , and partly the Bamberg Centamt Burgebrach . The Mühlhausen manor held the village and community rulership as well as the land rulership over all properties .

As part of the community edict, Decheldorf was assigned to the Mühlhausen tax district formed in 1808 . In the same year the rural community Mühlhausen was formed, to which the place belonged. In the voluntary jurisdiction and the local police, the entire place was subject to the Patrimonial Court of Mühlhausen until 1834 .
