history

The place was first mentioned in 1158 as "Schirmerstorff". In Bamberg Urbar of 1348 five fiefdoms were recorded over the Bamberg also the manorial had. In addition, the Cistercian convent of St. Theodor had five fiefdoms. With the dissolution of the monastery in 1553, this fief fell to the Bamberg Centamt Wachenroth , which also otherwise had landlord claims in the place. Furthermore, Walter Faber owned a fiefdom. The Münchaurach monastery was also wealthy here. With the abolition of the monastery in 1525, these goods fell to the Brandenburg-Kulmbach district of Liebenau . In 1721 they were bought by the Schönborn rule in Pommersfelden . The Bamberg Cathedral Chapter were among the original 11 1 / 4 acres.

During the Thirty Years War the place was devastated and deserted.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 25 properties and a community shepherd's house in Schirnsdorf. The high court exercised the Bamberg center Wachenroth . The village and community rulership was held by the caste office in Höchstadt . The landlords were the Kastenamt Wachenroth (1 Höflein, 1 Sölde , 2 houses, 2 little houses; Theodorisches fief: 6 Höflein, 1 Sölde), the Brandenburg-Bayreuth administration Uehlfeld (1 estate, 1 Tropfhaus ), the Schönborn lordship of Pommersfelden (1 Gut, 5 Sölden, brickworks), the State Almosenamt of the Imperial City of Nuremberg (1 courtyard) and the early mass in Höchstadt (1 Höflein).

In 1802 Schirnsdorf came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict , the Schirnsdorf tax district was formed in 1808 , to which Fallmeisterei , Horbach , Lempenmühle , Nackendorf and Weingartsgreuth belonged. In the same year two rural communities were formed:

  • Schirnsdorf with Fallmeisterei, Horbach, Lempenmühle and Nackendorf,
  • Weingartsgreuth with Buchfeld .

The municipality of Schirnsdorf was under the administration and jurisdiction of the district court of Höchstadt and of the financial administration by the Rentamt Höchstadt . From 1862, Schirnsdorf was administered by the district office of Höchstadt an der Aisch (renamed the district of Höchstadt an der Aisch in 1938 ) and continued to be administered by the Rentamt Höchstadt (1920–1929: Finanzamt Höchstadt , from 1929: Finanzamt Forchheim ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Höchstadt until 1879, 1880–1959 district court of Höchstadt , from 1959 district court of Forchheim . In 1950 the municipality had an area of 13.975 km², in 1961 it was only 10.306 km².

On July 1, 1974, Schirnsdorf was dissolved as part of the regional reform: Schirnsdorf and Lempenmühle were incorporated into Markt Mühlhausen , while Horbach was incorporated into Wachenroth and Nackendorf after Höchstadt an der Aisch .
