Deluxe Edition is an EP by the Hamburg rapper Samy Deluxe . It was released on November 24, 2017 via the labels KunstWerkStadt and Universal Music . The rapper himself describes the release as a half , i.e. half an album .

Four songs from the EP were produced by Samy Deluxe in collaboration with DJ Vito. The other three instrumentals are from the American music producer Nottz.

Cover design

The album cover shows a colorful graffito that includes a crown, a capital S and the word Baus . At the top left is the black lettering Samy Deluxe and at the bottom right is the title Deluxe Edition . The background is kept white.

Deluxe Edition entered the German album charts at number 29 on December 1, 2017 and left the Top 100 the following week.

On October 25, 2017, the only single Alone in the majority was released for download . A music video was also shot for the song .

Another music video for Rooftop followed on January 15, 2019 . The pictures for this come from the Cologne street artist Jacky & Hide.

Dominik Lippe from the website laut.de rated the EP with three out of five possible points. Samy Deluxe focuses “on the management of the past” and does not provide any new “tangible content”. In contrast, "the instrumentals are one of the strengths of" Deluxe Edition "" and Samy Deluxe can still convince in terms of rap technique.
