The tenth mixtape by the Hamburg rapper Samy Deluxe is good old days . It was released on October 10, 2014 on the Deluxe Records and Universal Music labels .

Cover design

The album cover is beige and black and shows an X-ray image of a hand stretching out two fingers in a victory sign . In the upper part there is the writing Samy Delvxe (with the letter V instead of U ) and in the lower part there is the title Good old days and the writing Mixtape in black. On the right of the picture there is also the writing Mixed by DJ Mixwell and Mirko Machine . The entire illustration is reminiscent of the shape of a record.

Guest Posts

In addition to Samy Deluxe, other artists are represented on five songs on the mixtape. The rapper Eko Fresh is involved in the song Band Salat , while the singer Flo Mega can be heard on Hustensaft . The track So Schön is a collaboration with rappers Megaloh and Afrob , and singer Matteo Capreoli has a guest appearance at Gold . Samy Deluxe also works on session with rappers Nico Suave , John Known and Bengio .

The good old days entered the German album charts at number 12 on October 24, 2014 and left the top 100 the following week. The mixtape reached rank 37 in Austria and 27th in Switzerland.

On October 6, 2014, a music video for the song Rapper Say Yo was released.

Dani Fromm from laut.de rated the mixtape with only one of a possible five points. There is a lack of “content” as well as “technology, flow and humor”. The lyrics consist mostly of "yesterday's, backward-looking, undifferentiated nonsense" and Samy Deluxe would only pay homage to "his own monument" without delivering "stories, interesting rhymes or knowledge". Only the song So Schön stands out a little more positively from the rest of the album.
