Samy Deluxe is the first solo album by the rapper of the same name . It was released on April 20, 2001 on the EMI label . In Germany, the album received a gold record due to more than 150,000 units sold .

production

The album was largely produced by the producers of Dynamite Deluxe , Tropf (ten beats) and DJ Dynamite (five beats). The Hamburg producer Sleepwalker created the instrumentals for two songs and one beat is from Don Dougie. Samy Deluxe himself acted as executive producer .

Cover design

The album cover is kept simple. It shows the Samy Deluxe logo (an S that resembles a dollar sign) in gold on a dark brown background, reminiscent of the leather cover of a book.

Guest Posts

Guest contributions by other rappers can be found on three songs on the album. The later collaboration partner of Samy Deluxe Afrob can be heard on the song So shall's be. At Eppendorf and Session , Samy Deluxe gets support from the Hamburg rapper Illo 77 , with Dendemann and Nico Suave also appearing on the latter track .
