Deluxe from head to toe is the fifth mixtape by the Hamburg rapper Samy Deluxe . It was released on December 22, 2006 through his label Deluxe Records and is distributed by Groove Attack .

The beats of the mixtape were produced by music producers Tai Jason , Monroe , Matbeats, Fab Rider, Rob Easy and Fritz the Cat , among others .

Cover design

The album cover shows a white baseball cap and white sneakers with the Samy Deluxe logo. In the upper part of the picture is the gray lettering Samy Deluxe presents Deluxe from head to toe and at the bottom of the picture is Exclusive Mixtape in gray. The background is completely white.

Guest Posts

In addition to Samy Deluxe, other artists are represented on eight songs on the mixtape. The rapper Manuellsen is involved in the songs So Fly and Don't Give Up , the latter also featuring the rapper Blade. The track Private money is a collaboration with the rap duo Snaga & Pillath , and Still have Dashenn and Eddy Soulo guest appearances. Deluxe from head to toe entered the German album charts at number 73 on January 5, 2007, ranked 97th the following week and then left the top 100. In Switzerland, the mixtape reached position 92, while in Austria it missed the charts .

reception

The mixtape was rated positively overall on the rap.de website . It is on a level at which other rappers could take an example for their album, even if it would "irritate one or the other 'old-school Samy fan'". The productions would convince throughout and most of the guest rappers were praised. Only the contributions from Blade and the headliners couldn't quite keep up.
