Demetrius Grosse (born February 26, 1981 in Washington, DC ) is an American actor .

life and career

Demetrius Grosse was born in the US capital Washington, DC and gained acting and singing experience at various workshops at a young age. He was already on the theater stage at the age of ten and was able to attract attention from an early age. After attending Gonzaga College High School, he attended Carnegie Mellon University , which he later successfully completed. He has received numerous awards for his stage performances, for example in 2014 at the 24th Annual NAACP Theater Awards for Best Actor for The Road Weeps, The Well Runs Dry .

In 2007, Grosse joined the Santa Monica Shakespeare Company , with whom he appeared in Oxford and Cape Town , among others . Before that, he had already attended a theater program at the Howard University College of Fine Arts in his hometown. In addition to his acting engagements, Grosse also appears as a producer. He has appeared in film and television since 2005. After a few guest roles, he took on a recurring role in Dexter for the first time . In 2008 he appeared as Baron Samedi in the series Heroes . In the same year he also took on a recurring role in Emergency Room , that of Officer Newkirk . After further guest appearances, including Dr. House and Criminal Minds , he took on the role of Deputy Emmett Yawners in the series Banshee - Small Town from 2013 . Big Secrets. He also played a supporting role in the first season of Westworld .

In addition to his series appearances, Grosse can also be seen regularly in films, for the first time in Slice 2011. Two years later he played in Saving Mr. Banks . In 2018 he took on a supporting role as Detective Detective Kevin Wolfe in the series The Rookie . In the summer of 2019, serial colleague Afton Williamson brought allegations against Grosse, according to which he should have sexually molested her.
