Demolition (English for: " Destruction ") is the 14th studio album by the British heavy metal band Judas Priest . It was released on July 16, 2001. It was the second and last of the two Judas Priest studio albums with singer Tim Owens . It's one of the few albums by the band to have the Parental Advisory sticker on it.

background

After the rather reluctant reactions to Jugulator , the band tried to return to parts of their earlier sound from the 1980s with Demolition . On Demolition the traditional elements were only combined with sporadic interludes of spoken word or light Nu-Metal borrowings.

The album was produced by Glenn Tipton , who also mostly worked as a songwriter. Former producer Chris Tsangarides also assisted in writing some of the pieces. Drummer Scott Travis contributed with Cyberface to the songwriting for the first and only time in the band's history. As with the album Painkiller seemed Don Airey again as guest keyboardist with just before this finally a permanent member of the British rock group Deep Purple was.
