Point of Entry (English for: “Grenzübergangsstelle” or “shot point” ) is the seventh studio album by the British heavy metal band Judas Priest . The album was released on February 26, 1981 on Columbia Records .

Emergence

Point of Entry was the first of three albums the band recorded with Tom Allom at Ibiza Sound Studios on the Spanish island of Ibiza . In the booklet of the remaster version, the band says that the album was different from what people expected and that it was an "experiment" because the songs were created spontaneously in Ibiza:

" Recorded on the island of Ibiza with multiple distractions, glorious sunshine, and extremely low cost alcohol, this album was regarded with mixed feelings because it was different from what people expected. The album was nearly all spontaneously written and performed in Ibiza - it was an experiment in the sense that before this we had already written the majority of the songs before going into the studio.
