Denis Chevrot (born June 11, 1988 in Chalon-sur-Saône ) is a French triathlete . He is the Ironman winner (2014) and is the fourth fastest in the list of French triathletes on the Ironman distance . (As of August 2018)

Career

Denis Chevrot was active in swimming until 2010. In 2011 the 23-year-old started the long distance at the Ironman Regensburg for the first time and finished 24th.

Triathlon professional since 2012

Denis Chevrot won the Ironman Western Australia in December 2014 (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and achieved the second fastest time of a French athlete with 8:05:58 h. This time was later undercut by his two compatriots Cyril Viennot (2016) and Antony Costes (2017).

Denis Chevrot is trained by Christophe Bastie. The 29-year-old won the first edition of the Ironman 70.3 Cascais in September 2017 and won his fourth Ironman 70.3 race.

Qualification Ironman Hawaii 2017

In July 2017 he was able to qualify for a starting place at the Ironman Hawaii (Ironman World Championships) in Nice in October of that year, where he finished 33rd.

At the Ironman 70.3 Pays d'Aix France in May 2018, as in the previous year, he finished second. In May 2019, the 30-year-old finished third at Ironman Australia.
