Dennhausen is a district of Fuldabrück in the Kassel district , Hesse .

geography

The place lies in a loop of the Fulda on the Söhre . Together with Dittershausen it has 2834 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2005). The buildings of Dennhausen and Dittershausen merge into one another. The center of the village is the so-called "Dalles", the square at the intersection of Hauptstrasse and Dörnhagener Strasse. To the west is the Kassel-West motorway junction . The federal motorway 44 and the federal motorway 49 intersect there . The state road 3124 leads through the village.

history

Dennhausen is first mentioned as Tenhusen in 1253 . The current place name has only been in use since 1744. In the village, the monastery Breitenau (today Guxhagen) owned land and a third of the fishery since 1253 . The parish is mentioned for the first time in 1289 .
