Dennis Dowidat (born January 10, 1990 in Düsseldorf ) is a German football player .

Career

Dowidat initially played for TuRU Düsseldorf and Fortuna Düsseldorf . In 2004 he moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach . Until 2009 he played in the youth teams, from 2009 in the second team. In total, Dowidat played 71 games for Borussia Mönchengladbach II in the Regionalliga West and scored 16 goals. In the summer of 2012 he moved to Preußen Münster in the 3rd division . He didn't have a regular place in Münster. In January 2013 he terminated his contract with the Prussians and switched back to Borussia Mönchengladbach II.

For the 2013/14 season Dowidat went to Alemannia Aachen . He played four seasons in Regionalliga West for Alemannia, completed 93 games and scored 15 goals. In his last season at Alemannia, the 2016/17 season , he suffered several injuries. Among other things, he contracted a hernia and was out for more than 130 days this season.

In the summer of 2017, Dowidat switched to Wuppertaler SV within the Regionalliga West . After a year he left the club again and moved to the Oberliga Niederrhein for TSV Meerbusch .

Dowidat also went through the junior national teams of the DFB . With the German U-17 team , he took part in the 2007 European Championship in Belgium and qualified with her for the U-17 World Cup . There he reached third place with the team led by Toni Kroos and Kevin Trapp , Dowidat was used in six World Cup games and scored three goals.
