The archaeological guide

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The archaeological guide (until 2011 cultural guide to history and archeology ) is a popular scientific travel guide series with an archaeological and historical focus published by Philipp von Zabern since 2010 .

According to the publisher's program, the focus is on ancient culture and travel destinations with evidence of Greco-Roman antiquity.

The works that are published are specially written for this series by scholars from the field of archeology and history and are mostly German first publications (exception: F. Coarelli - Rome ). The division into the sub-groups regions - cities - monuments that existed until 2011 has since been abandoned.
