The Democratic Terrorist is a German-Swedish political thriller by Per Berglund from 1992 based on the novel of the same name by Jan Guillou .

Hamburg in the 1970s: Disguised as a proven former Eastern spy, the Swedish agent Carl Hamilton is smuggled into a group of the Red Army faction by the German protection of the constitution . His goal is to prevent an attack on the US embassy in Stockholm .
