The night without morals is a German film swank from 1953 by Ferdinand Dörfler with Claude Farell and Gustav Knuth in the leading roles.

action

At some point, in a bygone era. The burly Abruzzo, a good fellow with the disposition of a butcher's dog, has nothing to laugh about under his bossy wife Martha. One day it is enough for him and he moves away from home to lead a completely new and above all different life as a robber captain. He forms a small gang with two other gallows, the somewhat idiot predators Tarta and Sigi. When two riders escape him in an ambush, the gang takes up the pursuit, which leads them to a nearby castle. One of the escaped riders, the attractive Rittmeister Philipp Weinsberg, immediately takes a liking to the beautiful lady of the castle Isabella, who, however, is not very pleased when Abruzzo's cutthroat gang follows him.

Isabella and her family gather around a coffin in the hope that nobody will look into it, because the lady of the castle has hidden all her jewelry there. But Abruzzo is not as dumb as it looks and sees through Isabella's diversionary maneuver. In the following night with no morals, she has to dig deep into her bag of tricks and begins to use her weapons of the woman, her seductive skills, to bewitch the robbers with her charms. She comes closer to Abruzzo than her beau would like. Isabella is able to ensnare the crooks until the alarmed relief arrives and drives Abruzzo from the castle again. The inexperienced robber captain is lucky because he ends up in the arms of his quarrelsome, unloved wife, while the other crooks end up behind bars. But Isabella and her Rittmeister can celebrate their wedding in the castle.

Reviews

In the lexicon of the international film it says: “A kind of further development of the Dörfler Schwank Mönche, Mädchen und Panduren (1952), only that this time it is a robber attack on a castle and the crude jokes have become more ambiguous. Slapstick that culminates in the gentlemen taking off their trousers. "
