action

Actually, trumpeter Willy from the Bamboo Band was hoping for a great inheritance, but his uncle only bequeathed him a scrap-looking bus . Nevertheless, he is planning a vacation trip to the south with his friend Franz. In the bamboo bar run by Willy and his people, a talent competition is held, which Barbi, the daughter of the famous pop singer Rudolf Lothar, wins. Young Till comes in second and they both receive a voucher for a two-week bus vacation trip to the south. Willy has already distributed the prizes when Franz informs him that the travel agency where you bought the vouchers is broke. As they fear having to close their bar in the event of lawsuits, they both decide to take the winners with them on their vacation to Trieste and Yugoslavia in the junk-old bus . Various friends of the winners join in: Barbi takes Harry and the secretary Wilma and they out of necessity their boss Mr. Ratsam with them, Till takes his good friend Petra with him and on the way they pick up the almost adult Anja, who is in front of her parents and her British Fiance John has fled.

While the bus is slowly rolling south, Barbi's fathers, Harry and Petra take up the chase, especially since Rudolf has to give a concert in Trieste anyway. Harry's father Walter in particular is worried that his son is out and about with so many young women because he actually wants to couple him with the factory owner's daughter Gina. Since Harry has always refused to even get to know Gina, Walter uses a trick. When the bus arrives in Trieste, the fathers have it escorted to their hotel. There, in turn, Walter shows up with the young Gina at his side and makes Harry think that she is his new lover. Harry does not understand, tries to convince her to give up on his father, and finally falls in love with her. In the end, more couples are found: After some chaos, Anja's parents are happy to get rid of their fiancé John and agree to marry Anja and Franz. Till and Petra become a couple, Mr Ratsam makes Wilma a successful marriage proposal and Barbi and Willy also fall in love.
