Diego Parodi MCCJ (born October 8, 1916 in San Leonardo di Linarolo , Pavia province , Italy , † January 9, 1983 ) was a Roman Catholic religious and bishop of Ischia .

Life

Rino Carlesi joined the Congregation of the Comboni Missionaries in and received on 31 May 1947, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 9, 1959, Pope John XXIII appointed him . the titular bishop of Centenaria and for the first prelates of 1954 established territorial prelate Santo Antônio de Balsas . The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Armando Lombardi , donated him episcopal consecration on June 21 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Archbishop Hélder Câmara , auxiliary bishop in Sao Sebastiao do Rio de Janeiro , and the Coadjutor Bishop of Campanha , Othon Motta .

He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

Pope Paul VI accepted on March 25, 1966 his renunciation of the prelature Balsa and appointed him auxiliary bishop in Perugia . From December 20, 1969 to January 22, 1972, he administered the vacant dioceses of Città di Castello and Gubbio as Apostolic Administrator . On March 25, 1972 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Naples .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Ischia on February 11, 1980 .
