Dierk Heimann (born October 7, 1968 in Ehringshausen , Hessen ) is a German doctor , book author , entrepreneur and medical journalist .

Life

Dierk Heimann attended elementary school and grammar school in Weilburg at the Lahn and studied human medicine at the universities in Giessen and Tel Aviv (parts of the practical year ) until 1995 . He then worked as an internship at the German Clinic for Diagnostics (DKD) in Wiesbaden . In 1998 he was at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz for Dr. med. PhD . He then paused his medical practice until 2011. Further stations of his medical training were the Saarland University Hospital (UKS) with Hans-Joachim Schäfers and the St. Marien Hospital in Frankfurt am Main with Ralf Kiesslich.

During his studies he worked for various radio stations, publishers and the ZDF as a medical journalist , presenter and book author. His work has been awarded various prizes, some of which are internationally oriented.

Heimann is married and has three children.

Dierk Heimann worked for ZDF and the ZDF Group until 2008 as managing partner of the medi cine medienproduktions GmbH he founded in 1995 . He worked as an author, presenter and editor for ARD ( Deutsche Welle ) until the end of 2013 .

In 2011, Heimann resumed his medical work part-time . From the end of 2015, Dierk Heimann worked as a family doctor, first in Mainz , then in Nierstein . He also heads a medical journalistic team based in Mainz.

He regularly reports on international congresses for the medical specialist medium Medical Tribune .

Works

Dierk Heimann is the author of several advisory books . In addition, a weekly published columns by him in popular magazines such as tv14 or the TV hearing and seeing , which will be regularly monitored by about ten million people.
