Dieter Pulter

Dieter Pulter (born February 9, 1939 ) is a former German football player . From 1963 to 1965, the tall and athletic player played in the Bundesliga for 1. FC Kaiserslautern . In total, he ran 25 times for the Palatinate. Previously (1959 to 1963) he played 86 games in the Oberliga Südwest for FCK, in which he scored 22 goals and in the last season of the old first-class Oberliga, 1962/63 , was able to win the championship with the "Red Devils".

Career

Dieter Pulter, who came from his own youth and who came to the league team of 1. FC Kaiserslautern via the amateurs, made his debut on January 17, 1960, in a 4-1 home win against TuRa Ludwigshafen on the left wing, in the Oberliga Südwest. It was the first season without the outstanding FC player Fritz Walter and at the end of the round, FCK finished in 5th place; Pulter had completed 10 league games and scored one goal alongside the other young players Wolfgang Schnarr (goalkeeper), Winfried Richter and Jürgen Neumann . On the last round match day, May 1, 1960, he ran in a 2-1 home win against SC Ludwigshafen as a left defender. In the next laps he was also used as a left outer runner and center runner. The talent actually played its first competitive game from within its own ranks on February 8, 1959, in a sensational 1-0 defeat against VfR Baumholder in the competition for the Southwest German Cup. In the second Bundesliga year 1964/65 the FCK went with the newcomers Helmut Kapitulski , Wilfried Leydecker and Dietmar Schwager . Pulter played his last Bundesliga game on November 28, 1964 in a 2-0 away defeat at Eintracht Braunschweig. The "stopper giant" had caused a hand penalty in the 11th minute of the game, which Lothar Ulsaß converted to the 1-0 lead of the host.

In 1965 he was reamateurised. After his career he remained connected to the FCK and the city and headed the land registry office in Kaiserslautern for many years.
