Dietrich Wachler

Dietrich Wachler (born March 28, 1934 in Weimar ; † May 2, 2004 in Wiesbaden ) was a German writer, librarian and critic.

Dietrich Wachler grew up in Weimar and Bremen , studied English , German , pedagogy and sociology in Kiel and Münster , worked as a teacher and received his doctorate in sociology in 1971 at the University of Münster on the extended weekend in its effects on family and household . He then completed an apprenticeship for academic library services in Cologne until 1973 and worked as the library manager at the Münster University of Applied Sciences until his retirement in 1994 . He published numerous literary and sociological articles, literary reviews, poems, prose texts and essays.
