Disco mafia

The disco mafia was a gang of criminals from the Augsburg , Aichach and Dachau area , responsible for twelve serious crimes, including three murders as well as extortion and arson . Markt Indersdorf or the local disco “Power Station” was the headquarters of the “Augsburg Disco Mafia”. The criminal gang wanted to take over the leadership of the Swabian discotheque and nightclub scene through targeted violent crimes.

Investigations

On December 16, 1994, six gang members were arrested. A 70-person special commission from the Augsburg police investigated for almost two years. Four men from the Aichach area had been in custody in Augsburg since December 1994 . Together with an Italian anti-mafia unit, attempts were made to clarify further crimes in the Italian criminal scene.

Murders

Christine G. was shot in 1993 on the veranda of what was then the SuperMäx ( ) disco in Dasing.
Lothar W's body was set in concrete at the Radersdorf Baggersee .

Josef H. (41, member of the
disco mafia ) Half a year before the “Dasinger Discomord”, Josef H. disappeared. In a wooded area near Aichach, police officers found the remains of the strangled Wertinger “Automatenkönig” at a depth of 1.60 meters under two layers of cement . Muthana S. strangled Josef H. with a belt while driving near the Radersdorf bathing lake. Then H's body was placed in a hole in the ground near Stockensau , in the forest near Haslangkreit , poured over with concrete and buried. In June 1995, a police dog sniffed out the buried murder victim. Members of the gang had previously claimed that the heavily indebted discotheque leaseholder had emigrated to Florida.

Christine G. (16, a random victim)
On August 28, 1993, the disco mafia shot and killed 16-year-old Christine G. on the veranda of what was then the “SuperMäx” disco in Dasing . The video surveillance of the disco recorded the girl stepping outside the front door alone and collapsing shortly afterwards. The nurse from Esting was hit by a projectile ( .222 Remington caliber ) in the lungs from 80 meters away. Her murderer Muthana S. shot her with Michael Sch.'s hunting rifle from the nearby federal highway 300 from a stationary car. The nightclub competition should be intimidated by the attack.

Lothar W. (30, member of
the disco mafia ) Four months after the murder of Christine G., the Aichach roast chicken Lothar W., whom the disco mafia had previously blackmailed, disappeared. In January 1995 he was found in concrete in the pump house of the Radersdorf Baggersee near Aichach. The takeaway owner was shot in the head .

More crimes

  • Arson and attempted insurance fraud : Josef H. and Michael Sch. bought the "Sächsischer Hof" in Hartmannsdorf for 600,000 DM. They opened the “Palazzo” discotheque there and set fire to the property, which is insured for four million DM. When the insurance company refused to pay, H. and Sch. Blackmailed by Taramelli.
  • Attempted kidnapping : In June 1994 the disco mafia tried to kidnap a discotheque owner from Burgau , who owned the “Cinderella” bar together with Sch. belonged to. The victim who was shot was able to flee and name one of the perpetrators.
  • Attempted kidnapping of the children of the building contractor Jakob P. to extort a ransom of several million DM . The building contractor Petzendorfer leased the “Tenne” (then the “Power Station” disco) to Fabio Taramelli. After a dispute and owed monthly payments, Petzendorfer tried in the summer of 1994 to get rid of his tenant Taramelli with an eviction notice. According to witnesses, Petzendorfer had also commissioned Taramelli to kill his daughter's Turkish friend.

The death of Silke H., a waitress in the "SuperMäx" disco in Dasing, remains unresolved. The young woman from Griesbeckerzell and lover of Michael Sch. fell victim to an arson attack in 1993 . She knew a lot about the disco mafia drug deals.

Suspected gang members

Michael Sch. (then 29)
The "head of the disco mafia", Michael Sch from Radersdorf . has been charged with triple murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, arson and countless frauds. The son of a Radersdorf gravel entrepreneur had, among other things, planned the shooting of the 30-year-old accomplice Lothar W. (direct involvement in the crime) and was involved in the disco murder in Dasing. In April 1997 Michael Sch. convicted of murder, accessory to murder and other crimes such as extortion, arson and attempted kidnapping and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Muthana S. (then 39)
Muthana S. alias "Fabio Taramelli" came from Baghdad ( Iraq ). Muthana S. was already in custody in 1994, but was able to conceal his true identity and was released again. In June 1995, he eventually committed in the prison Straubing suicide . In a suicide note, he accused Michael Sch, who was meanwhile also in prison. of the murder of Christine G.

Other accomplices were Josef H. from Wertingen, Lothar W. from Aichach and Karlheinz S.
