The Rázuri district is located in the Ascope province in the La Libertad region in northwestern Peru . The 317.09 km² district had 8,664 inhabitants at the 2017 census. In 1993 the population was 8045, in 2007 it was 8330. The administrative seat is the 8 m high town of Puerto Malabrigo . The district is located in the coastal lowlands north of the Río Chicama. It has an approximately 27 km long coastline on the Pacific Ocean . In the north there is desert vegetation. Irrigated agriculture is practiced in the southeast of the district. The national road 1N ( Panamericana ) leads from Trujillo and Paiján through the east of the district to the north.
Geographical location
The Rázuri district is located in the north-west of the Ascope province. The district of Rázuri borders in the north with the district San Pedro de Lloc ( province Pacasmayo ), in the east with the district Casa Grande and in the south with the district Magdalena de Cao .
