Dittmannsdorf is a district of the Saxon town of Kitzscher in the Leipzig district .

geography

Dittmannsdorf is located about 23.5 kilometers south-southeast of the Saxon city of Leipzig . The village is on the left bank of the Eula, which flows here in an east-west direction . The federal highway 176 Bad Langensalza - Hartha runs south of the village .

Neighboring towns of Dittmannsdorf are Braußwig in the north, Kitzscher in the northeast, Beucha in the east, Flößberg in the southeast, Borna and Kesselshain in the southwest , Eula in the west and Gestewitz in the northwest.

The first recorded form of place names dates from 1096 as Diemarisdorf . In 1525 Dittmannsdorf has 15 residents including the miller. In the middle of the 18th century, the place consisted of Hintersässer , Anspänner and gardeners as well as a mill and the parish. In 1814 August Schumann mentions Dittmannsdorf in the State, Post and Newspaper Lexicon of Saxony concerning a. a .:

“It is part of the Kitscher manor in writing, and Kitscher also has a subsidiary church . It has 90 inhabitants over 10 years, with 17  hooves , 11 horses, 77 cows and 210 sheep. "

Albert Schiffner added in 1828 a. a .:

“Nothing further is parish about the church; the place also has no special school teacher and only 4  horse farms . "

Until 1856, Dittmannsdorf was part of the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Borna . From 1856 the place belonged to the Borna court office and from 1875 to the Borna district administration .

The church belonging to the parish of Kitzscher houses the first organ made by Borna organ builder Urban Kreutzbach . In 1935 Braußwig was incorporated. On January 1, 1974, Dittmannsdorf was incorporated into Kitzscher with its then Braußwig district.
