history

The first written mention of Dobříkovec was in 1364 as part of the Opočno manor. The village was laid out as a round around a circular village square, which was later almost completely built over. In 1495 Nikolaus d. J. Trčka from Lípa reigned. From the Opočner land register from 1580 it emerges that Dobříkovec was inhabited by five farming families. In the course of time the village was also referred to as Dobřichow or Dobřikow . After the death of Jan Rudolf Trčka von Lípa , the Opočno domain was confiscated by King Ferdinand II and pledged to the brothers Hieronymus and Rudolf von Colloredo-Waldsee in 1635 . According to the list of souls from 1651, 48 people lived in Dobříkovec, all of them non-Catholics. The Berní rula from 1654 shows five farmers and two gardeners . In 1789 the rule fell to the Counts Colloredo- Mannsfeld, who held it until the middle of the 19th century. In 1790 the village consisted of nine houses. Dobříkovec was enrolled in the parish school Přepychy, the lessons were given by an assistant teacher in Čánka. 1806 Dobříkovec received its own local judge.

In 1836 the village Dobřikowetz in the Königgrätzer Kreis consisted of 13 houses in which 83 people, including 34 Protestants, lived. The Catholic parish was Přepich , the Protestant prayer house was in the monastery . In 1848 100 people lived in the 14 houses of the village. Until the middle of the 19th century Dobřikowetz remained subordinate to the Opochno rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Dobřikovec formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Čánka in the judicial district Opočno . From 1868 the village belonged to the Neustadt an der Mettau district . In 1889, five buildings were destroyed in a major fire. In 1890 Dobřikovec consisted of 18 houses and had 111 inhabitants. In 1914, 95 people lived in the village, and there was an inn and a general store with a tobacco shop. By order of the linguistic commission in Prague, Dobříkovec was established as the official place name in 1920 . 1949 Dobříkovec was assigned to the Okres Dobruška. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 the Okres Dobruška was abolished and the village was assigned to the Okres Rychnov nad Kněžnou , at the same time it was incorporated into Opočno.

On March 3, 1991 the place had 37 inhabitants; in the 2001 census, 51 people lived in the 21 houses in Dobříkovec.

In front of house number 13 there was a hollow linden tree. The 17 m high tree with three tops had a trunk circumference of 8.4 m in 1895. After a lightning strike, the split trunk was secured with an iron strap. The tree has not been preserved.

  1. The statement contained in Sommer that Dobříkovec before the Battle of the White Mountain was an own property belonging to Wilhelm Dobrikowsky and was then sold to Albrecht von Waldstein , is probably due to a confusion with Dobříkov .
