Dominic Breazeale (born August 24, 1985 in Alhambra , California , USA ) is an American boxer who competed with the amateurs in the super heavyweight division and is currently active in the heavyweight division among the professionals .
Amateur career
In 2012 he was American champion with victories over Edward Latimore, Owen Minor, Tyrell Wright, Jonathan Hamm and Brett Rather.
At the qualifying tournament for the 2012 Summer Olympics in the English capital, London, the 2.01 meter tall Breazeale was defeated by the Ecuadorian Ítalo Perea in the final and qualified as runner-up.

Professional career
With the professionals he made his debut on November 9 of the same year against his compatriot Curtis Lee Tate and beat him by TKo in round 1. The following year he defeated, among other things, the Jamaican southpaw Lenroy Thomas (record 16-2-0-) by classic knockout in the 4th round. In 2014 he won over Devin Vargas (18-3-0) through TKo
In March 2015 he defeated Victor Bisbal (21-2-0) with a technical knockout in round 4 in an 8-round fight and three months later he won against Cuban Yasmany Consuegra (17-0-0) TKo in the 3rd round and thus inflicted his first defeat on him. In November of the same year he defeated Fred Kassi over 10 rounds on points.
In the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 23, 2016 boxed Breazeale against Amir Mansour (22-1-1 record) for the vacant title WBC Continental Americas . Mansour suffered a broken jaw while fighting and was forced to retire because of the injury. Breazeale, who fell to the ground for the first time in his career after a heavy direct hit by the opponent in the 3rd round, was declared the "winner by technical knockout in round 5".
