Douglas M. Fraser
Douglas Malcolm Fraser (born April 16, 1953 ) is a former general in the United States Air Force and was the commander of the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) from June 25, 2009 to November 19, 2012 . Fraser was the first officer in the American Air Force in this position, succeeding Admiral James G. Stavridis . He previously served as Deputy Commander of the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM) from April 2008 to June 2009 .
Education and career
Fraser graduated from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in 1975, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. 1987 followed a master’s degree from Auburn University in Montgomery .
His US Air Force Aeronautical Rating is Command pilot (over 2,700 flight hours), he flew the types F-15A / B / C / D, F-15E and F-16.
