The Državljanska lista ( German : Bürgerliste , DL for short ) is a political party in Slovenia that is viewed as liberal .

history

The party was founded in October 2011 at the instigation of Gregor Virants under the name Državljanska lista Gregorja Viranta (German: Gregor Virants Bürgerliste , LGV for short ).

In April 2012 the name was changed to Državljanska lista .

On November 9, 2012, she officially became a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). As of May 2015, she is no longer listed there as a member.

Alignment

The party advocates a citizen-friendly state apparatus, the dismantling of bureaucracy, the reduction of state spending and the withdrawal of the state from the economy.

elections

When she ran for the 2011 parliamentary election for the first time , she made it into the State Assembly with 8.4% . In the 2014 European elections , it only achieved 1.14% and remained without a mandate, as was the case in the 2014 parliamentary election , where it failed very clearly with the 4% hurdle with 0.6%.

Government participation

Since February 2012 the party has been involved in the center-right government under Prime Minister Janez Janša . Due to Janša's corruption affair, she withdrew from the government in January 2013; this no longer had a majority in parliament.

The DL was involved in the four-party coalition government led by Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek from March 2013 to September 2014 .
