Duilio del Prete
Duilio del Prete (born June 25, 1938 in Cuneo , † February 2, 1998 in Rome ) was an Italian actor and singer.
Life
The Italian became known in international cinema in the early 1970s after supporting roles (as Bruno alongside Lee van Cleef in the Assumption Commando El Alamein , as Oreste alongside Dustin Hoffman in Pietro Germis Alfredo, Alfredo ), as Felipe alongside Richard Burton , Alain Delon and Romy Schneider in Joseph Losey's The Girl and the Killer and as partner Cybill Shepherd in two Peter Bogdanovich films ( Daisy Miller , Alt Long Last Love ). Here he established himself as a "Latin Lover" in American cinema.
In Italy followed u. a. Polizia incrimina la legge assolve (Dead Witnesses Don't Sing) (with Franco Nero ), La Monache di Sant'Arcangelo (The Nun of Verona) (with Ornella Muti ), Divina Creatura (A Divine Creature) (with Laura Antonelli ) and Damiano Damianis Il Sorriso del grande tentatore (Exiled) with Glenda Jackson . Among his most beautiful achievements in the 1970s are the impotent Marcello in Eriprando Visconti's Una spirale di nebbia (with Claude Jade ) and the Necchi in Mario Monicelli's Amici mei (An insane class reunion) (with Philippe Noiret and Ugo Tognazzi ).
In the 80s he appeared in comedies such as A Spicy Gift as Umberto, Chosen Flirt Claudia Cardinales , thrillers like Mystère alongside Carole Bouquet and dramas like Sergio Corbucci's Bandelli's Alibi . In the 90s, Duilio del Prete made a foray into the horror genre with Lucio Fulci's Voices from the Deep . He played his last film role in 1997 in Auguri professore .
