On April 7, 2003, the midfielder made his debut for the club in a 2-0 home win over GIF Sundsvall in the Allsvenskan . During the season he was able to fight for a regular place and was used in the left or central midfield. As a result, he played his way into the Swedish U21 team and came on in the 1: 4 defeat against the Portuguese youngsters on February 17, 2004, when he came on in the 71st minute for Andreas Johansson . He was able to establish himself in the selection team and took part with her at the U-21 European Football Championship in Germany in 2004 , where the team took fourth place. Also in the league he played with his team for the title, the Lennart Johansson Cup was missed with two points behind Malmö FF as runner-up. Then he was considered by national trainer Lars Lagerbäck in the annual winter tour of the Swedish national team and came on January 26, 2005 for his first assignment in the national jersey. In the 0-0 draw against Mexico he was substituted on for Tobias Hysén at half- time.

Đurić came in the 2005/06 UEFA Cup as a regular for his European debut. In the first round Halmstads BK met the Portuguese representative Sporting Lisbon . After a 1: 2 home defeat, everything looked like the southern Europeans could prevail as expected. However, goals from Gunnar Heiðar Þorvaldsson and Tomas Žvirgždauskas achieved a sensational equalization of the first leg result when Wender conceded . After Zvirgzdauskas had scored an own goal, Björn Anklev's substitute Patrik Ingelsten HBK was able to shoot into the group stage. There the team that u. a. on Hertha BSC , but only last place and was eliminated from the competition.

Đurić could not build on the success from his first league season and the European Cup with Halmstads BK and only found himself in the relegation battle in the 2006 season . In the national team, too, he was only part of the team irregularly. After a sixth place in the 2007 season , in which he was able to shine as a goalscorer with seven goals this season, he said goodbye to Sweden.

Change abroad

In January 2008 Đurić signed a contract with the reigning Swiss champions FC Zurich . The contract runs until June 2012. In April of that year he injured his inner ligament and had to end his season prematurely. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he was back in the club's starting line-up and was ultimately used in 35 games this season. With nine goals this season, which made him the fourth best club-internal scorer of the season, behind Almen Abdi , Eric Hassli and Alexandre Alphonse , the midfielder contributed to the twelfth win of the Swiss championship title in the club's history. Since he also shone as a template provider, the press reported the interest of several foreign clubs such as AS Livorno , AC Milan , AS Roma or AS Monaco in a commitment. However, he stayed with the club with whom he reached the group stage in the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League after successes over NK Maribor and FK Ventspils , in which he scored two goals in four games. There the team was eliminated as the bottom of the group, but was able to surprise in the 1-0 away win at AC Milan with a goal from Hannu Tihinen .

Đurić remained a regular player at his club in the following seasons. In the Swiss championship 2009/10 he finished seventh with the club, in the following season he returned to the championship race. In the end, it was only enough for the runner-up behind FC Basel , with seven goals this season, he was involved in the European Cup. In the group stage of the 2011/12 UEFA Europa League , the team was eliminated again early.

In January 2012 Đurić left Switzerland and moved to France. At Valenciennes FC he signed a contract that was valid until summer 2015. After he made a handful of missions in the second half of the 2011/12 season, he seriously injured his knee at the beginning of the following season. As a result, coach Daniel Sanchez had to do without him for the entire season. In the summer of 2013, at the end of the transfer period, he moved on loan to the Danish club Odense BK , the clubs agreed on a purchase option. However, he did not get beyond two appearances as a substitute until the end of the season. Meanwhile, Valenciennes FC rose to the second division.

In July 2014 Đurić moved back to Switzerland, with FC Aarau he signed a one-year contract with an option to extend. The expiring contract was not extended in summer 2015.
