E-type
E-Type (born August 27, 1965 in Uppsala ; actually Bo Martin Erik Eriksson ) is a Swedish dance musician.
Life
Eriksson began his musical career as a drummer for the Swedish thrash metal band Hexenhaus and was VJ for the television channel Z-TV . He started a solo career in the early 1990s. E-Type released his debut single We've Got the Atmosphere in 1991 , followed by Numania 1, both with Swedish musician Stakka Bo, and his solo single I'm Falling in 1993 , which all three flopped.
Three years later, E-Type had its big breakthrough with its album Made in Sweden (produced by Denniz PoP and Max Martin , later responsible for hits from Ace of Base , Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears ), which was based on the then popular Eurodance - Sound with female vocals continued. The first release, Set the World on Fire , made it to number 2 in the Swedish charts, the successor This Is the Way reached number one in Sweden and was also able to reach high chart positions in France and the Netherlands. A long series of other party hits followed, as well as ballads and more rocky tracks. In 1996 and 1997, his singles Set the World on Fire , This is the Way and Calling Your Name also made it into the top 25 of the US Billboard dance charts.
He had his first success in the German-speaking world with the official song for the European Football Championship 2000 , Campione 2000 , which entered the German and Swiss single charts. Another well-known song by him in German-speaking countries is Es ist never über , a duet with the German singer Blümchen , which only made it into the Swedish charts. Eriksson has also published the official Swedish anthem for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , Olympia . With Paradise , E-Type took part in the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 and came in fifth.
His publications were particularly successful in Scandinavia, he released five number one hits in Sweden and one in Finland and was able to achieve a total of 23 positions in the top ten of the single charts in Sweden, Finland and Norway.
