Eduard Cornel Stăncioiu (born March 3, 1981 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian football player. The goalkeeper has been under contract with CS Universitatea Craiova since 2018 .

Career

society

He began his career with the Bucharest club Sportul Studențesc . At that time the club played in the Divizia B . With Sportul he was able to celebrate two promotions to the highest Romanian class . Long supplementary player, he has been in the club's starting line-up since 2004. In total, he was loyal to the club for eight years. In the 2004/05 season he kept his goal clean for 457 minutes and did not concede a goal. Through this good performance he was one of the guarantors for 4th place in the league.

In 2006 he moved to CFR Cluj on a free transfer . In his first season he was considered seed and completed 25 games. But the following year he was in the interplay with the Portuguese Nuno Claro in the goal of the CFR . In the 2007/08 season he was again the undisputed number 1. At the end of the season, the team was able to celebrate the first Romanian championship. In 34 games, Stăncioiu only conceded 22 goals. In addition to this success, the double was made perfect with the 2-1 victory in the cup final against Unirea Urziceni . In the 2008/09 season, the championship could not be defended, but the cup victory . After he had finally lost his regular place to Nuno Claro at the beginning of the 2009/10 season , Stăncioiu experienced the new double only from the bench.

In January 2014, Stăncioius contract in Cluj was terminated. He was almost four months without a job before second division ASA Târgu Mureș signed him in April 2014. With his new club he managed the ascent to the league 1. He spent two years regular force in the port of ASA and won with his club, the runner-up in 2015 , which take part in the qualification for the Europa League meant. In summer 2016 he joined Steaua Bucharest ( FCSB Bucharest from April 2017 ). There he acts as the deputy of Florin Niță .

National team

Stăncioiu played his only international match on May 31, 2008 against Montenegro . Due to an injury to Dănuț Coman , he was appointed to the Romanians' squad for the 2008 European Championships in Austria and Switzerland .
