Skylark Award

The Skylark Award (officially the Edward E. Smith Memorial Award or EE Smith Memorial Award for Imaginative Fiction ) is an American literary award that has been awarded to well-known science fiction authors in recognition of their life's work since 1966 , both through their Both work and personality exemplarily embody the qualities of Edward E. Smith , who died in 1965 , including the author of the Skylark novel cycle. The award is presented annually by the New England Science Fiction Association (NESFA) at the Boskone , the NESFA convention held in Boston.

The price is a trophy with a large lens on a base, in reference to Smiths known Lensmen cycle (English lens "lens").
