Ehningsen is a district of the municipality Welver in the district of Soest , North Rhine-Westphalia . Ehningsen is located around 4 km southeast of the center of Welver. The district has 95 inhabitants.

On July 1, 1969, Ehningsen was merged with several other villages to form the new large municipality of Welver. The district is surrounded by agricultural land. The children go to kindergarten in Schwefe , schools are available in Borgeln , in Welver itself and in Soest .
